Dear Educators,

As we gear up for yet another inspiring academic year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge each one of you for your unwavering dedication and hard work.

You are the unsung heroes who choose to make a difference every day, despite the immense pressures, challenges and constant changes in the education sector.

I know that many of you have spent a portion of your well-deserved summer holidays preparing for the upcoming year, but I sincerely hope that you have taken the time to rest, relax, rejuvenate and develop positive wellbeing habits. Prioritising your mental health and wellbeing is essential for you to be the best you can be.

Now, with the new academic year upon us, it is crucial that we maintain these positive habits throughout the year.

So, here is my challenge to you: Identify three wellbeing habits that you commit to sustaining, regardless of time pressures or constraints.

Share your wellbeing commitments in the comments below. Let's inspire each other to prioritise self-care, foster resilience, thrive in our roles as educators and spread the message that self-care is not selfish—it is essential!

Let's make this academic year one filled with positivity, growth, and unwavering dedication to our wellbeing. Remember to focus on nurturing wellbeing for a successful year! By prioritising our wellbeing, we not only become better educators but also role models for those around us.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the new academic year.
